The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Sr Reliability Engineer Manufacturing
Job Summary
Provides leadership, training, promotion, enhancement and support for maintenance activities. Develops best practices associated with world class manufacturing and testing automation. Develops systems to ensure reliable operation of equipment, reduced production interruptions and consistently high levels of part repeatability and quality. The position oversees all infrastructure maintenance inside and out including functions as a liaison with leased property.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordination of projects and provide technical support on new and existing machine tools for the production operations
- Direct involvement with new equipment selection, approval drawings, component specification, recommend spare parts attainment, maintenance training requirements, preventive maintenance recommendations, manual and documentation procurement
- Participate as a member of maintenance work group, provide support to work groups, work advisors, manufacturing engineers and skilled trades
- Identify long-range solutions to infrastructure repairs, replacement and acquisition
- Manage plant infrastructure projects to ensure timely cost effective completion
- Lead maintenance trades staff as needed in facilities projects
- Manage plant utilities toward reduction of overall cost and sustainment of the environment
- Identify and execute infrastructure preventative maintenance
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Education Specifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Structural Engineering.
Experience Requirements
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
Preferred
- Knowledge in HVAC system operation and equipment
- Knowledge in refrigeration system operation and equipment, Industrial boiler systems and Industrial chilled water systems
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance techniques
- Knowledge in CAD, network/software and PC applications
- Practical application of ergonomics and safety process controls
- Knowledge in machining operations and equipment, familiarity with cellular and JIT concepts, equipment justification and procurement, costing methods and value analysis
